How to Choose Your Shoe Size?
While choosing the size of your shoes, you may find different unit of measurement in different countries, men's and women's styles, and even among brands of shoes. The United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe each have their own standards, while Japanese shoes are mostly measured in cm, while South Korea is in mm. Ball Head sells more than a dozen brands of shoes from different countries. If you place the order online, please pay attention to the size. Below are some points to remind and it may help you to choose the suitable size.
1) Currently, there are three standard UK, US and EUR (Europe) shoes sold on the market. Please pay attention to the standard listed on our website (we usually list EUR). The UK and US sizes are close and will be more confusing.
Example: Adidas Men's Shoes - UK 8, US 8.5, EUR 42 all refer to shoes of the same size, all referring to a length of 26.5cm.
2) Even if you buy with a known size, there is a chance that it is not suitable.
Example 1: A lady, usually wearing an Adidas US 8 (about 25cm long) women's model sneaker, now wants to buy a Nike Unisex shoes, if she still uses US 8 as the standard, the new purchased Shoes may be too large for her, as the Nike Unisex US 8 has a shoe length of about 27 cm.
Example 2: Adidas Men's US 8.5 (about 26.5cm long) vs Nike men's US 8.5 (about 27.5cm long), even both are US 8.5 shoes, it may have 1 cm difference in different brand.
3) For the above reasons, we recommend using EUR as the measurement standard, see the following example
UK | US | EUR | CM | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Adidas Men's | 8 | 8.5 | 42 | 26.5 |
Adidas Women's | 8 | 9.5 | 42 | 26.5 |
Nike Men's | 8.5 | 7.5 | 42 | 26.5 |
Nike Women's | 8 | 9.5 | 42 | 26.5 |
Note that both men's and women's models as well as the different brands have different sizes, but as long as they are EUR 42, the length must be 26.5 CM, so using the EUR measurement, there are fewer chances of error.
